Wir zogen am Nachmittag ein wenig weiter, um nochmals die tolle Atmosphäre des Schiffes aufzusaugen.



We just browsed in the afternoon to absorb the great atmosphere of the ship.

I was missing the cabanas like we knew from EURODAM. I really would like to have one this afternoon on the last day on sea.



Schade, dass es hier die Cabanas wie auf der EURODAM nicht gab. Die hätte ich mir doch mal am letzten Seetag gegönnt.

Obwohl das Schiff ausgebucht war: wir hatten nie den Eindruck, dass es überlaufen war. Schöne ruhige Ecken gab es überall an Bord.



Although the ship was fully booked: we never had the impression that it was crowded. You could find silent corners all over the ship.

I would have expected that it was much more busy in Crow's Nest.



Selbst im Crow's Nest hätte ich es voller erwartet.

So arbeite ich hier mit vier Tagen Rückstand an dem Blog.

My parents sat here relaxed to see the towel animal folding.



Meine Eltern sitzen hier gespannt beim Handtuchtierfalten.

Kein Wunder, dass unsere Eltern die besseren Handtuchtiere hatten: Singgih und Siswanto waren diejenigen, die die Kunst des Faltens hier vorstellen.



No wonder that our parents always had the better towel animals: Singgih and Siswanto were those who made the presenation on the stage.

We waited until the last day but the prices for the picture never decreased: 19.95 USD.



Wir haben bis zum letzten Tag gewartet, aber die Preise für die Bilder wurden nicht runtergesetzt: 19,95 USD.

Und wieder kein Housekeeping-Supervisor, der mal guckt und dafür sorgt, dass es weggemacht wird.

I did not want to go. But there was an Indonesian Tea Ceremony this afternoon.



Eigentlich wollte ich ja nicht mehr hin. Aber heute Nachmittag findet eine indonesische Teezeremonie statt.

Doch haben wir beim Verlassen des Mariner Society Brunches schon gesehen, was sie dort aufbauen. Das wollte ich mir natürlich nicht entgehen lassen.



But we saw already when we left the Mariner Society's Brunch that they were preparing something for the event. I did not want to miss it.

This time they queued again...



Auch heute stehen sie wieder an...

Er teilt die Teller aus. Leider konnte ich seinen Namen auf dem Namensschild nicht lesen. Er erklärt mir, dass das Hemd nicht Teil der Uniform ist. Sie möchten es aber möglichst indonesisch machen und deswegen tragen die Stewards alle ihre Privathemden. Dann habe ich noch gelernt, warum es kaum I Gede (die wir von MSC und NCL kennen) usw. gibt: Die Stewards bei HAL werden hauptsächlich auf Java rekrutiert. MSC und NCL rekrutieren ihre Crew auf Bali und hier sind die Namen üblich.



He released the plates. Unfortunately I was unable to identify his name on this name tag. He explained that the shirt was no part of the uniform. They want to have the event most authentic and Indonesian and that was why they all weared their personal shirts. Furthermore I learned from him why there was no I Gede (which we knew from MSC and NCL) etc. on board: HAL-Stewards are recruited mostly on Java while MSC and NCL mostly recruited their crew memebers on Bali and here you find those names.

By the way these are Aad and Nicoline whom I knew from facebook. They run a very nice cruisewebsite too: https://www.cruisefans.nl/. We met already on the ship. Originally I wanted to take some pictures only but so stayed for a cup of tea.



Das sind übrigens Aad und Nicoline, die mich aus facebook her kennen. Sie selbst betreiben eine tolle Kreuzfahrer-Seite: https://www.cruisefans.nl/. Wir sind uns schon auf dem Schiff begegnet. Eigentlich wollte ich bloß fotografieren, aber ich bleibe auf eine Tasse Tee.

Unglaublich, wieviel Mühe sie sich für die Teestunde geben.



It was great how much effort they spent for the tea-time.

They must be from an undiscovered island or I knew them as Norwegian pastry from the bow...



Entweder sie müssen von einer unentdeckten Insel stammen oder ich kenne sie bereits als norwegisches Gebäck von der Bugspitze her...

Bei den Teestunden sollte man doch früh erscheinen. Es wird nicht mehr so viel nachgefüllt.



You should appear early for the tea-time. There was no extensive refill.

Very lovely decorated with the masks and the shadowtheaterpuppets.



Und auch liebevoll mit den Masken und Schattentheaterfiguren dekoriert.

Mit den Hemden kommt man sich schon vor wie in Indonesien.



With all their shirts you had the impression to be in Indonesia.

They served coffee another way. Sorry for Bruno that he did not join.



Der Kaffee wird hier anders serviert. Schade, dass Bruno nicht mit dabei ist.

Aad und Nicoline haben an dem Wohltätigkeitslauf teilgenommen und sich eine Stärkung verdient.

We had luck as the sun was shining again.



Zum Glück scheint die Sonne schon wieder.

Es gibt hier auch Jasmin-Tee, schade, dass er nicht zum Frühstück serviert wird.



They had also Jasmine-Tea but unfortunately they did not serve it for breakfast.

Very nice filters were used for the tea.



Sogar richtig mit tollen Filterbeuteln.

Vielleicht war es doch gut, dass Bruno nicht mit dabei war: Die Kaffeebohnen werden nämlich verkauft und bei uns zu Hause stapelt sich noch der Kaffee aus Florenz, den wir von der NORWEGIAN GEM mitgebracht haben und auch noch der Kaffee aus Cartagena, den wir von der CELEBRITY EQUINOX mitgebracht haben.



Maybe it was good that Bruno was not with me: They sold the coffee beans and we had at home a bunch of coffee from Florence from our last NORWEGIAN GEM-cruise and from Cartagena from our last CELEBRITY EQUINOX-cruise.
