Tag/Day 4.2 auf der/on WESTERDAM in Ålesund, Norway

In Ålesund müssen wir erst um 23.30 Uhr wieder an Bord. Deswegen beginnt der Tag ein wenig stressfreier.



We need to be back at 23.30 hrs in Ålesund. So our day started less stressful.

We booked a car through Ålesund-Taxi station which came right on time.



Wir hatte über Ålesund-Taxi einen Wagen bestellt, der auch pünktlich kommt.

Gestellt wird das Fahrzeug durch das Unternehmen Maxi Taxi. Nach Möglichkeit versucht auch den Fahrer Trond Hansen zu buchen: er hat uns genau die richtige Tour zusammengestellt und vor allem: er kann toll erzählen, nach dem es von der Taxi-Zentrale hieß, dass die Fahrer eigentlich nichts erzählen würden...

Due to Trond's suggestion Mr Pannen could stay in his wheelchair.



Aufgrund des Vorschlages von Trond konnte Herr Pannen nämlich im Rollstuhl verbleiben.

So war es von der Logistik einiges einfacher, als das beschwerlich Ein- und Aussteigen.



From the logistics side it became easier as getting him on and off the car was very burdensome.

















Here on Fjellstua Mr Pannen had the chance to have an overview over the city even from his wheelchair.



Hier am Fjellstua hatte auch Herr Pannen im Rollstuhl die Möglichkeit sich einen Überblick über die Stadt zu verschaffen.

Dank des Rollstuhls von Herrn Pannen, hatte er ja einen guten Grund mitten durch die Fußgängerzone zu fahren...



As we had the wheelchair of Mr Pannen he had good reasons to drive through the pedestrian zone.

By the way that was the most narrow house in Ålesund. No stairway of its own - you use the stairways of the next house.



Das ist übrigens das schmalste Haus in Ålesund. Eine eigene Treppe gibt es nicht - die Treppe des Nachbarhauses wird mitgenutzt.

Falls uns der Weg mal wieder nach Ålesund führt: das könnte unser Hotelzimmer werden - hier im Leuchtturm.

Ålesund was destroyed by a fire beginning of the 20th century. This memorial reminded to this event.



Ålesund wurde durch ein Feuer Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts zerstört. An dieses Ereignis erinnert das Denkmal.

Irgendwie liegt alles so nah am Cruise Terminal, dass wir mehrfach wieder am Schiff vorbeifahren.



Somehow everything was so close to the cruise terminal that we passed the ship multiple times.

Trond thought that these ornaments were the most beautiful.



Trond meint übrigens, dass diese Ornamente die schönsten seien.



Through some seatunnels and one bridge we got on the island of Giske.



Durch einige Meerestunnel und einer Brücke geht es auf die Insel Giske.

Hier steht eine Marmorkirche, die wir allerdings nicht von Innen besichtigen.



Here you could find a marble church which we did not visited from the inside.









We continued to the Alnes Lighthouse on the island of Godøy. Unfortunately the restaurant opened at 12.00 hrs. Trond persuaded the inn owner to open at least the toilet as we could not get something to drink.



Es geht weiter zum Leuchtturm nach Alnes auf der Insel Godøy. Leider öffnet das Restaurant erst um 12.00 Uhr. Trond überredet die Wirtsleute uns zumindest mal die Toilette zu öffnen, wenn wir schon nichts zu trinken bekommen.

Falls jemand auf die Idee kommt, sich einen Standardrollstuhl für die Kreuzfahrt zu bestellen: Es gibt Probleme auf Kies oder Schotter. Deswegen können wir Herrn Pannen, leider nicht zu weit weg vom Parkplatz bewegen.



If somebody has the idea to book a standard wheelchair for the cruise: there were problems with the grit and gravel. That was why we could not move Mr Pannen too far away from the parking.

Trond used the canceled break at the lighthouse to show us the beauty of the area.



Trond nutzt die ausgefallene Pause am Leuchtturm, um uns noch die Schönheit der Gegend zu zeigen.

Mein Urlaub setzt daher erst am 4. Tag der Reise ein. Ein Tag, an dem ich mich bislang nicht ärgern musste... wie gesagt bislang...



So my vacation started the forth day of the voyage. A day there was so far no need to be angry of something... so far as said before.







We all made a satisfied impression - the tour was just uniquely gorgeous and full of variations.



Wir machen wohl alle einen zufriedenen Eindruck - die Fahrt war einfach einmalig schön und vielfältig.

Vom Fjellstua aus, konnten wir natürlich unser Schiff sehen.



Of course we could see our ship from Fjellstua.

But we were about three minutes late: MIDNATSOL (Norwegian Coastal Line - Hurtigruten) set sail for Geiranger.



Leider waren wir etwa drei Minuten zu spät: Die MIDNATSOL läuft Richtung Geiranger aus.

Und haut einfach ab, ob sich von mir vernünftig fotografieren zu lasssen.



And just departed before I was able to take nice pictures of her.
