xAls wir an der Formel 1-Strecke vorbeifahren, fühlen wir uns fast zu Hause, da Sebastian Vettel aus dem gleichen Kreis kommt.

Deswegen zur Freude meiner Leser, die sich für Formel 1 interessieren.

Ein Thema ist auch immer das Marina Bay Sands Hotel, in dem sich das 2. Spielcasino der Stadt befindet. Ich hatte mit dem Gedanken gespielt, aber bei den Preisen habe ich das Projekt ad acta gelegt. Vieles ist nett, aber es muss nicht sein.



One subject is also the Marina Bay Sands Hotel where you can find the 2nd casino in town. I checked the idea to stay there but when I saw the prices I cancelled this project. Many things are nice but you must not have them all.

















Let's see if I make it one day to this place.

Grob planen wir mal ein, dass wir vielleicht mal abends hinfahren.



We had rough plans to see there around in the night.

The new business districts around the Merlion we discovered first by boat.



Die neuen Geschäftsviertel rund um den Merlion, entdecken wir zunächst vom Boot aus.

Ich hatte mir überlegt auch im Fullerton zu wohnen. Aber Singapur hat einfach zu viele Spitzenhotels.



I was also thinking about to stay at The Fullerton. But Singapore has too many top-hotels.

















In this quarter you find now the older top-hotels in town like the Mandarin Oriental.



In diesem Viertel liegen nun die älteren Spitzenhotels der Stadt, wie das Mandarin Oriental.

Während wir auf die Abfahrt der Tour warteten, wollten wir eigentlich rumlaufen und gemeinsam entscheiden, wo wir nach der Tour zu Mittag essen wollten, aber mein Vater hatte für uns entschieden, dass es dieses Restaurant Crystal Jade sein musste, weil er auf den Bildern Essen aus seinen Kindertagen wiedererkannte.



While we were waiting for the departure of our tour we walked to decide together where to have lunch after the tour. But my father decided for all of us as he discovered pictures of food he had as little boy so we had to eat at Crystal Jade.

So we went there after the ducktour.



So gehen wir auch nach der Ducktour dorthin.

Da es kein kantonesisches Restaurant ist, ist die Auswahl an Dim Sum sehr stark eingeschränkt.



It's no Cantonese Restaurant so the variations on Dim Sum is very limited.

It should be an healthy hot drink. Two at the table speaks perfectly Chinese, one with some limitations and one had start-up long time ago but anyhow the waitress was the only one who knew what it was.



Es soll ein sehr gesundes Heißgetränk gewesen sein. 2 saßen am Tisch mit perfekten Chinesisch-Kenntnissen und 1 am Tisch mit gemischten Chinesisch-Kenntnissen und noch einer mit Kenntnissen aus A1-Kurs vor Jahren... Und außer der Kellnerin wusste niemand, was es war.

Betrunkenes Hühnchen... Genau das Richtige für uns Nicht-Alkoholtrinker.



Drunken Chicken... Exactly the right order for Non-Alcohol-Drinker like us.

He was only interested in the flat bread where you can wrap minced meat inside... so Chinese buritos or whatever... I am not the expert.



Es ging um die Fladenbrote, mit der man beispielsweise Hackfleisch einwickelt... also chinesische Buritos oder was auch immer... ich bin auch nicht der Experte...

Aber genetisch weiss ich, wie ich es wickeln muss...



But from the genetic heritage I know how to wrap...

... und wie man es hinterher mit Stäbchen essen muss.

Mein Vater war jedoch auf die fritierte Version scharf.



But my father was totally weired for the deep-fried version.

Especially for Bruno.

Der gebratene Reis war richtig lecker.



The fried rice was really good.

Same like the fried won-tons.



Die gebackenen Wan-Tan waren auch sehr gut.

Ich fand die Xiao-Long-Bao (kleine Drachen-Taschen) sehr gut, während sie meine Eltern nicht perfekt genug waren. Aber seit dem ich im Odenwald bzw. Harz lebe, nehme ich alles, was ich bekommen kann und mir schmeckt.



I liked very much the Xiao-Long-Bao (Little Dragon-Dumplings) while my parents did not find the perfect enough. But since I am working living in the German countryside I accept everything what I could get.
