Seetag/Day on Sea 7.2 auf der/on WESTERDAM

Unser letzter Seetag... etwas blau am Himmel. Zwischendurch gibt es aber auch schon mal einen Schauer. Irgendwie perfekt mit dem Seetag am Anfang und am Ende der Reise.



Our last day on sea... something blue at the sky. We had few short showers the day. Somehow it was perfect with the day on sea at the beginning and at the end of the voyage.

Aly and Maryadi were our stewards... but honestly: we did not see the so much to establish a relationship.



Ali und Maryadi sind unsere Stewards... aber ganz ehrlich: wir haben sie so selten zu Gesicht bekommen, dass wir irgendwie keine richtige Beziehung aufbauen konnten.

Wir hätten gar nicht gestern nach der Zwischenabrechnung fragen müssen: die kam automatisch.



No need to ask for the statement the day before: they were delivered automatically.

After my parents got the chocolate we filled out the form. But we did not get anything.



Nach dem es Pralinen bei meinen Eltern gab, füllen wir auch schnell die Form aus. Aber wir bekommen dafür nichts mehr.

Irgendwie komisch, wenn man vom Mittagessen kommt und die Betten sind immer noch nicht gemacht. Alles erinnert heute an AIDA (obwohl ich da noch nie war...), aber jemand erwähnte, dass er vorher bei AIDA war... Stimmt der Hotel Manager...



Somehow it was strange if you return from your lunch and the bed were not still made. Although I have never been with AIDA, it reminded me to their service level (cabin service once per day) but someone mentioned that he was with AIDA before... It was the Hotel Manager...

After two they refilled our mini-bar. When we asked the bar steward, he saw our 1.5 l South African bottle and that we made the better deal...



Nach zwei Tagen wird auch mal die Mini-Bar wieder aufgefüllt. Als wir deswegen den Bar Steward fragen, sieht er unsere 1,5 l-Südafrika-Flasche und meint, dass wir ja eh damit besser gefahren seien...

Für den Einzelbettenverkauf werden wohl die Betten noch mit A und B markiert.

And inside you found everything you need for debarkation.



Und drinnen fand man dann alles, was man zum Ausschiffen brauchte.

Was sehr gut lief: die Angaben im Ausschiffungsbogen werden korrekt umgesetzt: für alle vier Kabinen bekommen wir Blau 2 zugeteilt.



What was running very well: the put all information from the debarkation questionaire in proper action: all four cabins of us got Blue 2.

Again a Dutch newspaper... But I did not take too much care: Germany was so far far away... The reality in the German news will catch us soon enough. We were just on an oasis of happy people and the Captain could took the wrong way and just make a wrong turn and go on... and on... and on... until the end of the world.



Mal wieder die niederländische Zeitung... Aber ist eh egal: Deutschland ist so weit weg... Die Realität in der Tagesschau holt uns noch früh genug ein. Wir sind gerade auf einer Oase der Glückseligen und von mir könnte sich der Kapitän verfahren und einfach falsch abbiegen, und weiter... weiter... weiterfahren... bis an das Ende der Welt.

Wir werden zur künftigen Raucherpolitik an Bord von Holland America befragt.



We were asked for our opinion on the future smoking policy with Holland America.

And of course the questionaire which was not properly adjusted since the last drydock stay earlier this year. The questions for Canaletto followed under miscelleneous.



Und natürlich der Fragebogen, der noch nicht richtig angepasst wurde. Da das Canaletto erst seit dem Werftaufenthalt Anfang des Jahres gibt, stehen die Fragen zum Canaletto unter sonstiges.

Als wir die Kabine verlassen hängen schon die letzten Informationen, die wir bekommen sollen.



When we left the cabin you got already the last information we should get.

The cruise log was a sum-up of the voyage incl. information for your last breakfast for the next day. I left it outside because I did not want to open the door and it was stolen. Of course there was no problem to get a new copy.



Der Cruise Log ist eine Zusammenfassung der Fahrt mit den Informationen für das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen. Ich lassen ihn draußen, weil ich keine Lust habe, extra die Tür aufzuschließen und prompt wird er geklaut. War natürlich kein Problem sich einen neuen geben zu lassen.

Die Klimaanlage pustet immer noch so viel Staub, ohne dass jemand vorbei gekommen ist. Damit auch der Haustechniker weiss, wovon wir sprechen, wurde er deswegen auch aus Beweissicherungsgründen die ganze Woche über nicht entfernt....



The air-condition still released too much dust without one was coming by. To make sure that the technician knew what we were talking about, they did not clean it for preservation of evidence.

They had no cabin service anymore the night before debarkation but as said before: the Hotel Manager was before on AIDA... or was this the new company's policy??? Maybe the Hotel Manager was before on easy.cruise... The linen for the next guests were left here to be changed by or or our stewards... Did they cancel the position of the Housekeeping Supervisors who guide the stewards??? The stewards can be only as good as they were guided.



Der abendliche Kabinenservice am Tag vor der Ausschiffung wurde abgeschafft, aber wie gesagt: der Hotel Manager war ja zuvor auf der AIDA... oder ist das Company's Policy??? Vielleicht war aber auch der Hotel Manager zuvor noch bei easy.cruise... Die Laken für die nächsten Gäste werden schon dagelassen, damit wir oder unsere Stewards schon die Betten beziehen können.... Wurde die Position des Housekeeping Supervisors abgeschafft, der die Stewards führt??? Sie können nur so gut sein, wie man es ihnen zeigt.

Gehen wir erst mal zum Frühstück. Wahrscheinlich hat es sich rumgesprochen, dass ich vor zwei Tagen in Geiranger ziemlich sauer war. Auf jeden Fall bekomme ich meine Serviette nicht auf den Schoß gelegt. Ich warte mal ab und es sind wieder Cristians Adleraugen, der es bemerkt und auf einmal neben mir steht und mir die Serviette auf den Schoß legt.



Let's go first for breakfast. I think it was circulated that I was very upset two days ago in Geiranger. But anyhow my napkin was still on the table and I did not get napkin service. I just waited and see but Crisitans eagle eyes saw it and he was standing next to me to put my napkin on my legs.

Some of them just did not have the look for missing parts, like the butter...



So der Blick für Sachen, die zu Neige gehen, fehlen manchen einfach: z. B. die Butter...

Ich wollte mal nichts warmes und bestelle mir eine Aufschnitt- und Käseplatte.



I did not want something warm so I ordered a cold cut and cheese plate.

Somehow I had fajitas in other memories...



Irgendwie habe ich Fajitas in anderer Erinnerung...

Als wieder mal jemand mit "No Blueberry Muffin" weiterrennt und ich gegenüber Annemarie erwähne, dass Bruno die Zustimmung für weitere Buchungen in der Regel vom Kaffee und Blueberry Muffin abhängig macht, wird sie zum Future Cruise Consultant und besorgt ihm einen Blueberry Muffin. Eine weitere Buchung bei MSC scheitert ja am Blueberry Muffin. Der Kaffee bei MSC ist ja in Ordnung.



When one ran away and said "No Blueberry Muffin" I explained Annemarie that you get only Bruno's agreement to book a new cruise depending to the coffee and blueberry muffin. So she became his Future Cruise Consultant and got him a blueberry muffin. There are no further bookings with MSC because of the blueberry muffin. The coffee was very nice with MSC.

We had a fire alarm. Later we learned that it was just for training purposes.



Auf einmal gibt es einen Feueralarm. Später stellt sich das Übung heraus.

Wir gehen in das Cullinary Art Center. Dort sollten wir eigentlich Chicken Korma beigebracht bekommen, aber das war mal wieder ein Druckfehler im Programm. Also gab es ein Shrimps-Gericht.



We went to the Cullinary Art Center. There we should see how Chicken Korma was made but again a misprint in the daily programme. So we had a shrimps-dish.

They made it great.



Das war wieder toll gemacht.

Our last purchases: a lanyard, a little bag for the belt...



Unsere letzten Einkäufe: ein Lanyard, eine Gürteltasche...

und ein T-Shirt, dass alles zusammenfasst, was ich fühle. Princess kann sich schon mal warm anziehen im Oktober... Holland America ist nun einmal verDAMmt gut... und alles auf der Gepäckmatte, die bereits ab Mittag auf den Betten liegt...
