Tag/Day 15.1 auf der/on ZAANDAM in Hongkong/Hong Kong, China

Nun müssen wir auf Grün 1 warten. Wir haben die letzte Gruppe gewählt, die das Schiff individuell verlässt.



Now we need to wait for Green 1. We choosed the last group which should leave the ship individually.

Our bill arrived.



Unsere Rechnung ist da.

Unseren Kabinenstewards hinterlassen wir nochmals Süßigkeiten und Trinkgeld für ihre tolle Arbeit. Wir bekommen deren Heimatanschriften, damit wir denen die Bilder schicken können.



We left for our cabin stewards some more sweets and tips for their great work. We got their home addresses to send them the pictures.

Just for fun we had look into an inside cabin.



Spaßeshalber gucken wir mal in eine Innenkabine rein.



And you can see the width in an oceanview cabin. We had more space in our cabin.



Und in einer Außenkabine sieht man die Breite. Wir haben in unserer Kabine mehr Platz.



I still have a credit. Let us see if they accept the card on RIJNDAM (for Non-Dutch RYNDAM) again 2013. With this information you know already that we liked it so much that we will go 2013 again Holland America and they still had the aft cabin which we hope to be larger again.



Ich habe noch Guthaben. Mal gucken, ob ich die Karte auf der RIJNDAM (für die Nicht-Holländer RYNDAM) 2013 wieder verwenden kann. Mit der Information steht vorab schon fest, dass es uns so gut gefallen hat, dass wir für 2013 wieder etwas mit Holland America gebucht haben und es gibt noch Heckkabinen, die hoffentlich wieder größer sind.

Im Fahrstuhl ist noch alles für den Gepäcktransfer hergerichtet.



In the elevator cabin everything was prepared for the baggage transfer.



I said good-bye with a last iced tea which Alit offered me in the Lido.



Ich verabschiede mich mit einem letzten Eistee, den mir Alit im Lido anbietet.

And then we a big surprise: We were asked if we went already on Holland America with us and we had some older couples with us and one of the man used a wheelchair... So obviously we left a good impression.



Und dann kommt eine ganz große Überraschung: Wir werden gefragt, ob wir schon mal mit Holland America mitgefahren sind, und dabei noch einige ältere Paare und einer davon im Rollstuhl... Haben wir doch einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen.

Zum letzten Frühstück kommt Zulfian, der uns von der WESTERDAM-Reise erkennt und entschuldigt sich, dass er erst heute uns gesehen hat. Dieses Gefühl, dass wir wiedererkannt werden und als Freunde begrüßt werden, erleben wir sonst nur bei NCL.



For our last breakfast Zulfian came, who knew us from our WESTERDAM-voyage and apologied that he did not see us earlier. We normally only know the feelings from NCL to be identified again and to be welcomed as friends.

It was on our day 7 on WESTERDAM.

Bruno got for the finish few slices of oranges. Mahendra and Irwin were so our very last waiters. Maybe they would be the first on RYNDAM?



Bruno bekommt zum Schluss nochmals ein paar Orangenstücke. Mahendra und Irwin sind also unsere letzten Kellner. Vielleicht werden sie auch die ersten auf der RYNDAM sein.

Sie haben wohl sofort in Hongkong die Butter ausgetauscht. Nun schmeckt sie wieder frisch.



Obviously they changed the butter in Hong Kong. Now the taste was fresh again.

Everywhere they had "human signs" to make sure that you find your baggage easily.



Überall gibt es "menschliche Schilder", die sicherstellen, dass man sein Gepäck schnell wiederfindet.









Unter dem Zelt finden wir alle, die auf einen Transfer warten und unser Gepäck.



Under the tent we found all others who need a transfer and our bags.





Bruno returned to get our hats which we forgot to take with us.



Bruno holt unsere zwei Hüte, die wir vergessen haben.

Jemand wohnt also in The Peninsula.

As we only need a transfer of the baggage and of my father it was o.k. for us that they send a regular limousine. Bruno and I walked the three blocks.



Da wir ja nur den Transfer des Gepäcks brauchen und mein Vater mit soll, war es für uns in Ordnung, dass sie nur eine normale Limousine schicken. Bruno und ich laufen zu Fuß die drei Häuserblöcke.



When we left the Cruise Terminal we saw one more time Rebecca and John.



Als wir das Cruise Terminal verlassen, sehen wir nochmals Rebecca und John.

Wir verabschieden uns von ihnen und hoffen, dass wir sie mal wieder auf einer Kreuzfahrt treffen.



We bid farewell and hope to see them again on another cruise.

We tried to go by auto-stop as our hotel is just at the backside of The Peninsula. But the car did not stopped.



Wir wollen als Anhalter mit, weil The Peninsula ja direkt vor unserem Hotel ist. Aber er hält nicht...
