Es gab diese Schrauben oben an den Wänden zwischen den Balkonen. Die dienten dazu, dass man die Verbindungstüren offen halten konnte.



There were these screws on the walls between the verandahs. That was to keep the connecting doors of the verandahs.

This worked also well with Mrs and Mr Pannen's cabin as they had the corner cabin and you could use it also for the balcony door in this special cabin. Bruno opened the door this way to make it easier for Mr Pannen to get with his wheelchair on the balcony and back. But you must be very tall later to close it again. So later they had no chance to close it again without any assistance.



Das funktionierte auch gut mit der Kabine von Frau und Herrn Pannen, da sie ja eine Eckkabine hatten und man es nur auf dem Balkon in dieser Kabine es anwenden konnte. Bruno hatte es für Herrn Pannen entsprechend die Tür geöffnet, damit er einfacher mit dem Rollstuhl auf den Balkon raus- und reinfahren konnte. Aber man musste schon groß sein, um das hinterher auch wieder schließen zu können. So hätten sie nie die Möglichkeit gehabt, ohne fremde Hilfe, die Tür auch wieder zu schließen.

Auf allen Fahrten zuvor, habe ich selektiv vor Ende der Reise mal die Identität von HeinBloed bekannt gegeben. Wenn sie vorher bekannt war, dann nicht unbedingt durch mich selbst. Ich möchte ja die Reise als "normaler" Reisender erleben. Aber hier musste ich meine Identität preisgeben und erklären wer ich bin, weil red hill aus der forengruppe.de-Forum mir einen Gruß vorher angekündigt hat. Da HeinBloed natürlich nicht auf dem Manifest war, konnten sie es keinem Gast zuordnen.



On all cruises before I never told before my identity of HeinBloed. If it was known before than it was never because of me. I want to experience as "regular" guest. But here I need to identify myself and explain who I am because red hill from German Forum forengruppe.de announced that she will left a greeting at the reception desk. As HeinBloed was of course not manifested they were unable to associate it with a guest.

I was really nicely surpised about the greeting and the cocktail. But I liked to help. I found es very well that there so many questions in the forengruppe.de-Forum for the NOORDAM and WESTERDAM-cruises in July: the more you knew before the less you can be disappointed. I am sorry to hear that there no vacancies for this cruise: It would have been a pleasure to make your acquaintance.



Über den Gruß und den Cocktail habe ich mir sehr gefreut. Aber ich habe sehr gerne geholfen. Ich fande es ja auch gut, dass es im Vorwege so viele Fragen in der forengruppe.de zu den NOORDAM und WESTERDAM-Fahrten im Juli gab: je mehr man vorher fragt und weiss, desto weniger kann man enttäuscht werden. Schade, dass es keine Kabine mehr gab, um die Fahrt zu verlängern: Ich hätte euch sehr gerne kennengelernt.

Die Dramen mit den Vorbestellungen gehen weiter. Ich habe für Donnerstag den Tisch im Pinnacle Grill bestellt. Die Bestätigungen kommen alle für 2er-Tische für Mittwoch, obwohl wir für Donnerstag einen 8-er Tisch bestellt hat. Auch Frau und Herr Pannen haben Untermieter in deren Kabine. So ähnlich wie bei uns auf der NORWEGIAN EPIC, aber wir kennen Xanthe Williams nicht.



The drama for the gift orders continued. I booked for Thursday a table in the Pinnacle Grill. The confirmation came for all for tables for 2 for Wednesday although I ordered for Thursday a table for 8. Mrs and Mr Pannen had a overnight guest in their cabin. Like with us on NORWEGIAN EPIC but we did not know Xanthe Williams.

We got a confirmation for the tonight for a table for 2 for the Piannacle Grill.



Auch wir bekommen eine Bestätigung, dass wir einen 2-er Tisch heute Abend im Piannacle Grill haben.

Da sich mitlerweile die Anzahl der Karten mit den Einladungen für den Pinnacle Grill gesteigert haben, eben doppelt und widersprüchlich sind, bekommt auch heute der Maître vom Pinnacle Grill meinen Zorn zu spüren. Alles was ich will ist der 8-er Tisch am Donnerstag mit Rollstuhlzugang, den ich bereits bezahlt habe.



As we had a huge number of invitation cards for the Pinnacle Grill in duplicate and some with contrary information the Maître at the Pinnacle had to experience my anger again. All I wanted was the table for 8 on Thursday which I already paid for.

And again a towel animal was available to say Good Night later.



Uns erwartet wieder unser Handtuchtier später zur Guten Nacht.

Aber zunächst geht es in Canaletto.



But let's go first to Canaletto.





















There was perfection was 99.9%... Service and food... Canaletto might be a good option for Mrs and Mr Pannen, who did not want to join the formal nights and Canaletto does not request formal appearance on formal nights. I am sure that they will not return hungry from here like from the Lido Café as they will take care very well of them and pamper them in a great way.



Es war zu 99,9% perfekt... Service und Essen... Für Frau und Herrn Pannen, die ja nicht am formellen Abend teilnehmen wollen, bietet sich das Canaletto als Alternative an, da hier keine Gala-Garderobe, am Gala-Abend vorgeschrieben ist und ich sicher bin, dass sie hier versorgt und verwöhnt werden, ohne dass sie wieder hungrig aus dem Lido Café kommen müssen...

Nur die Espresso-Löffel hätten sie früher rausrücken müssen. Die hätten besser in die Gläschen mit dem Tirami-Su gepasst.



All they need to do was to give us earlier the Espresso spoon. They would have fit better into the little glasses with the Tirami-Su.



The offer is complimentary. Who does not spend the effort to call 88 and book a table might deeply regret to miss this opportunity.



Das Angebot ist kostenlos. Wer sich nicht die Mühe, einmal die 88 anzurufen und sich einen Tisch zu reservieren, ist selbst schuld, wenn er das verpasst.

Und das ist Andreas Nömayr, der österreichische Chefkoch. Er ist schuld, dass wir jetzt MSC fahren müssen, um wieder abzunehmen (insgesamt 2 kg in 22 Nächten). Wie kann man eigentlich bloß so ver"DAM"mt gut kochen? Mit dem Mrs. Schmitt habe ich ihm noch nicht verziehen. Aber er weiss ja nicht, dass ich Mrs. Schmitt bin...
