Seetag/Day at Sea 7.4 auf der/on ZAANDAM

Wir gehen zur königlich niederländischen Teestunde. Die Schlange ist lang.



We went to the Royal Dutch Tea-Time. The queue was quite long.



Man bekommt vorne einen Teller bevor man das Büffet erreicht.



You get a plate here before you reached the buffet.



Salziges.



Salty.

Sweet.



Süßes.







Bruno wanted only a small healthy bite.



Bruno nimmt nur eine gesunde Kleinigkeit.

Scones essen wir grundsätzlich nur auf englischen Schiffen.



Scones we only eat on English ships.

I like it salty: Saucijzenbroodje (Saussage rolls - Minced meat in puff pastry - Top 3 of my Dutch favorite dishes).



Ich mag es salzig: Saucijzenbroodje (Wurstbrötchen - Hackfleisch in Blätterteig - Top 3 meiner niederländischen Lieblingsgerichte).

Und Geflügelpastete Königin Art.



Vol-au-vent.

Did not Bruno mention something of a healthy bite. Where was he again?



Hatte Bruno nicht etwas von gesunder Kleinigkeit gesagt. Wo bleibt er nun?

Unten wird schon alles für den 2. formellen Abend vorbereitet.



Down under they started to prepare the restaurant for the 2nd formal night.

Due to lack of green tea I took a black tea.



Mangels grünen Tee gibt es mal schwarzen Tee.

Und das war Brunos Zusatzstückchen.



And this was Bruno's little add-on.



Ich bin glücklich mit meiner Auswahl.



I was just happy with my selection.

All I need more was Worcestershire Sauce.



Alles was ich noch brauche: Worcestershire Sauce.

Nun sitzen wir doch oben, um uns umzusehen.



Now we sat upstairs to look around.



Nachschlag.



Seconds.

That was the largest damage we could see during the voyage. But as we sat anyway most of the time downstairs it did not bother us very much. The important things were that the crew was nice and the food was good. Then you had anyway no more time to notice this. And it had nothing to do with the age of the ship. I only remember the brandnew QUEEN VICTORIA... Against entry of water you cannot maintain between dinner and breakfast. That was something you need an extended stay in a drydock...



Das war eigentlich der größte Schaden, den wir gesehen haben. Aber da wir eh immer unten saßen, hat es uns nicht weiter gestört. Hauptsache die Crew war nett und das Essen gut. Dann hat man eh keine Zeit so etwas zu bemerken. Und es hat auch nichts mit dem Alter des Schiffs zu tun. Damals auf der nagelneuen QUEEN VICTORIA... Gegen Wassereintritt kann man nichts zwischen Abendessen und Frühstück machen. Das ist etwas für einen längeren Aufenthalt im Trockendock...
