Obwohl ich ja noch zuletzt das Bordprogramm von HAL als "altbacken" bezeichnet habe, stelle ich für mich fest, dass etwas an einem selbst hängen bleibt... Statt sich die (mehr oder minder) neuesten Blogbusters... sorry Blockbusters aus Hollywood bei Air Canada anzugucken, gucke ich mir das hier an:

Die sind ja "Dauergäste" bei den HAL-Shows...Sogar zwei Mal innerhalb von drei Wochen auf dem Flug von Deutschland nach Kanada: Christopher Plummer mit seinem "Edelweiß" in "Der Klang der Musik" (The Sound of Music).

One of the most popular musicals of Rodgers/Hammerstein most people do not know the German-speaking countries because it tells of the van Trapp-Family incl. their escape from Austria. 1965 when the movie was released they were not prepared to have such a movie - that is why a German version of the van Trapp-Family is much more popular than the the version with Julie Andrews. Man "verblödet" (das darf ich so sagen...) so sehr, dass man sogar sich die Blu-Ray kauft, weil es sie in Deutschland nicht gibt. Einer der erfolgreichsten Musicals von Rodgers/Hammerstein ist im deutschsprachigen Raum kaum bekannt, weil sie über die von Trapp-Familie erzählt inkl. der Flucht aus Österreich. Da war man 1965 noch nicht so weit - deswegen ist Ruth Leuwerick als Maria von Trapp weitaus bekannter als Julie Andrews. Und deswegen kannte ich auch kaum die Lieder in der Show. Wie bekannt die Musik aus dem Musical ist, sieht man hier bei diesem Flashmob.
