Der Blutzuckerwert könnte besser sein, aber nach zwei Tagen Azoren mit Queijadas da Dona Amélia ist das gar nicht mal so schlecht. Bruno leidet unter der Klimaanlage.

Zum Frühstück probiere ich mal den Honig-Schinken aus. Aber mir dominierte der Honig zu sehr.

The reminder function for the 11:00 hrs event takes me to the theater. But there is still Dr. Alexksejevs on stage giving a talk on asteroids.



Die Erinnerungsfunktion für die 11:00 Uhr Veranstaltung führt mich ins Theater. Dort ist aber noch Dr. Alexksejevs auf der Bühne, der einen Vortrag über Asteroiden hält.



That navigator! Uff... I'm supposed to go to the Pinnacle Grill tonight, but we've rebooked again. The memories come for tonight anyway. This goes on all day. The navigator shows a Cooking demonstration (so no more Culinary Arts Club!!!) with Captain Kevin and Hotel Manager Darren. It's supposed to be very funny. Knowledge transfer is no longer so important. So I'm in the theater. There are only displays in Rolling Stone Lounge. Everything is already complete there. Later I read in the printed daily program: the performance was telecasted to the theatre.



Dieser Navigator! Uff... ich soll heute Abend ins Pinnacle Grill, aber wir haben wieder umgebucht. Die Erinnerungen kommen trotzdem für heute Abend. Das geht über den ganzen Tag. Der Navigator zeigt an: Kochdemonstration (also nicht mehr Culinary Arts Club!!!) mit Captain Kevin und Hoteldirektor Darren. Es soll sehr lustig werden. Wissensvermittlung steht nicht mehr so im Vordergrund. Ich bin daher im Theater. Dort wird nur anzeigt Rolling Stone Lounge. Dort ist schon alles voll. Später lese ich im gedruckten Tagesprogramm: die Verstaltung wurde ins Theater übertragen.









Ich gehe ins Lido. Dort gibt es tolle Kaktusfrüchte und auch Drachenfrucht. Übrigens hat mir Darren ja auch drei Drachenfrüchte in die Kabine geschickt. Alles sehr lecker. Ich frage nach, ob sie auch Durian (die Stinkefrucht, die bei falscher Lagerung so einen Gestank verbreiten, dass Flugzeuge auch schon notlanden mussten.) an Bord haben. Leider nein. Sehr gut... ROTTERDAM 04.05.2024... Wer mag da der Hoteldirektor sein? Drachenfrucht ist ja keine Herausforderung mehr, also als nächstes also Durian bitte.



I'm going to the lido. There are great cactus fruits and also dragon fruit. By the way, Darren also sent me three dragon fruits to the cabin. Everything was delicious. It's time for lunch: I can't see the tomato soup anymore. Sorry: but for 14 days and so many days at sea: a little more effort with the offer should be!



Es geht zum Mittagessen: die Tomatensuppe kann ich allerdings nicht mehr sehen. Sorry: aber für 14 Tage und soviele Seetagen: ein wenig mehr Mühe bei dem Angebot sollte schon sein!





Beim Rundgang fällt das Jazz Trio im Third Avenue West bzw. Ocean Bar auf.

Es geht mehrfach am Tag in das Exploration Café. Mangels Barkarte probiere ich aus, ob es noch "Cool as Cucumber" gibt. Ansonsten bleibe ich beim Clamato, aber eine kleine Mixer-Dose reicht mir und kommt mir sehr entgegen. Heute sitzen wir bei Larry und Steven in der Friends-of-Dorothy-Runde. Ich habe mal an der Rezeption gemeldet, dass immer noch die Südamerika-Führer im Bücherregal stehen, obwohl wir auf dem Weg ins Mittelmeer sind. Aber das war wohl auch egal und da passierte auch nichts mehr. Es gibt eben keine Bibliothekarin mehr an Bord.



We go to the Exploration Café several times a day. I try out whether "Cool as Cucumber" is still available without a bar menu. Otherwise, I'll stick with the Clamato, but a small blender tin is enough for me and suits me very well. Today we're sitting with Larry and Steven in the Friends of Dorothy group. I once reported to the reception that the South American guides were still on the bookshelf, although we were going to the Mediterranean. But that didn't matter, and nothing happened. There's no librarian on board anymore.









It goes to the 2nd and last gala evening. My jacket is well received. There should have been another gala evening. But that was saved. No lobster today, either. Unless you pay yourself, Siri is available from Apple and on board here.



Es geht zum 2. und letzten Galaabend. Mein Janker kommt gut an. Es hätte ja noch ein weiterer Galaabend kommen sollen. Aber der wurde eingespart. Auch heute kein Lobster. Außer man zahlt selbst. Nicht nur bei Apple gibt es Siri, sondern auch hier an Bord.

Heute abend gibt es "An Evening Under the Stars". Es erinnerte ein wenig an einen Debütanten-Ball in der Wiener Hofburg. Wir haben hier viele Senioroffiziere erlebt. Aber auch heute: solche späten Veranstaltungen sind nichts für mich. Nach dem Debütanten-Einzug geht es ins Bett.



Tonight there is "An Evening Under the Stars". It was a bit reminiscent of a debutante ball in the Vienna Hofburg. We have seen many senior officers here. But even today: such late events are not for me. After the debutants move in, it's off to bed.
