Love at the first sight - Cruising for adults ("stolen") - Finally you get the goody normally only kids get somewhere - That is all I love Holland America Line for. And it might sound stupid: You can experience a wonderful cruise on a small ship like RYNDAM too.

Da es im Showroom at Sea mal wieder zu kalt ist, muss ich alleine in die Show ansehen. Sie heißt "Classique".

As it was so cold in the Showroom at Sea I had to see the show by myself. It was "Classique".

With the helf of a sugar-free energy-drink some wings were given.

I would not have need it. From the 1st second they picked me up. "Viva la Vida" from Coldplay. Was it really Holland America I am on? That was from 2008! And normally you have music of the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s...

And again 4 part with 4 crystal clear voices.

The next was "Granada" by Augustin Lara from 1932

and "Habenara" (out of "Carmen" by George Bizet from 1875) which picked up the classical target group.

Then Ireland and "Danny Boy" followed.

Dann kam Irland mit "Danny Boy",

Dann kann "You Raise Me Up" nicht weit sein...

"You Raise Me Up" could not too far away...

And of course "Riverdance" had to follow.

Und "Riverdance" musste natürlich auch noch folgen.

Cole Porters "I love Paris" aus dem Musical "Can Can" (1953) folgte und wieder vierstimmig.

It followed Cole Porter's "I love Paris" from the musical "Can Can" (1953) and again 4 part.

Sowie Edith Piafs "Hymne à l'Amour" aus 1949.

Furthermore they had Edith Piaf's "Hymne à l'Amour" from 1949.

"All By Myself" from Eric Carmen (1975). The most popular cover-version is from Celine Dion and the version on stage was more or less about the same level.

"All By Myself" von Eric Carmen (1975).

Falco and "Rock Me Amadeus" was expected with these costumes. But I hate the song and it is always a reason to leave. But bilingual with an accent-free German female voice was a great surprise which invited me to stay.

"Time to Say Good-Bye"... but visually it was nicer set on stage on ROYAL PRINCESS.

"Time to Say Good-Bye"... aber optisch nicht ganz schön umgesetzt, wie auf der ROYAL PRINCESS.

Aber wieder vierstimmig schön anzuhören.

But again 4 part and nice to listen.

Then "Nessun Dorma" from Giacomo Puccini's Turandot (1926) followed. Easy to compete with the most popular version from Luciano Paverotti.

Then we had a Queen medley containing "Killer Queen", "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Somebody to love".

Finally we had on stage again "Viva la Vida"...

I used to rule the World..." Was soll's?

and one round Promenada walk with "Viva la Via" from my iPhone: "I used to rule the World..." - I was glad that I was alone on the Promenade and no one else was there. Otherwise we might have a Code Alpha... and would be sent to the Medical Center. Who cares? Viva la Vida - Long live Life - And I loved the life on RYNDAM and enjoyed every single second onboard to the full! Only so sad that only one day on board was left.
