Tag/Day 6.4 auf der/on WESTERDAM in Vik, Norway - Flåm, Norway

Unser Fahrer bringt uns direkt vor dem Stand der Fjord Safari. Dass wir uns umziehen müssen, weiss ich ja bereits (die anderen nicht). Als ich jedoch das hier sehe, ahne ich schlimmes.



Our driver took us directly to the front of Fjord Safari. I knew that we need to change some clothes (but the others did not). But when I saw it I was very concerned.

With this vehicle we should to the beginning of the Næroyfjord and back. Beside the Geirangerfjord only the Næroyfjord is the second fjord which is listed of UNESCO's World Heritage.



Hiermit geht es gleich bis zum Anfang des Næroyfjords und zurück. Neben dem Geirangerfjord ist der Næroyfjord der zweite Fjord, der auf der Liste der UNESCO Welterbe aufgenommen ist.

Zum Glück liegt unsere Anlegestelle von der WESTERDAM in Sichtweite, so dass wir nicht so unter Zeitdruck stehen.



Luckily our berth of WESTERDAM was just a jump so that we did not were under time pressure.

The girls welcomed Mr Pannen very nicely. After first concerns and the acceptance that he must not wear such a suit he was looking forward to the trip. But they insisted him to have a life vest.



Herr Pannen wird von den Mädels ganz herzlich begrüßt. Nach anfänglicher Skepsis und der Zusage, dass er nicht in so einen Anzug muss, freut er sich auf die Fahrt. Allerdings bestehen sie darauf, dass er eine Rettungsweste anzieht.

Irgendwie steht Bruno dieser Anzug gut...

But all others need to be in. They can lock the valueables away.



Aber alle anderen müssen rein. Die Wertsachen können wir einschließen lassen.

Wie sie sich um Herrn Pannen bemüht haben war ganz wunderbar.



It was wonderful how they took care of Mr Pannen.

With four persons they carried him down to the pier while he was staying in his wheelchair.



Zu viert haben sie ihn die Stufen zum Anleger im Rollstuhl runtergetragen.

Der Rollstuhl blieb dann im Laden und die Jungs haben Herrn Pannen dann in das Boot gehoben.



They left the wheelchair in the shop and the guys took Mr Pannen into the boat.







We experienced the Aurlandsfjord very close.



Den Aurlandfjord erleben wir wirklich hautnah.

Britt-Mari, die das Boot steuert, hält zwischendurch immer wieder an und erklärt uns die Sachen, die wir uns näher mit unseren Ferngläsern ansehen sollen.

The turnaround-point of the trip was the Sagfossen Waterfall, although I was surprised that it was not so deep in the Næroyfjord as I expected. It was great how Britt-Mari got us to the interesting points. No chance to get to this places with cruise ships. For the future there are two options: on a cruise ship which goes to Gudvangen on Næroyfjord or we book the long Safari-Tour. At this point it started to rain and as Mr Pannen had no water-proofed suit like us others and as we need a little extra to get him from this boat to our ship we asked Britt-Mari to get us directly back to the ship. Of course this would not be possible with the scheduled service. But we had a private charter.



Der Wendepunkt der Fahrt ist der Sagfossen Wasserfall, wobei ich überrascht bin, dass er nicht so tief im Næroyfjord lag, als ich eigentlich dachte. Es war schon klasse, wie Britt-Mari uns jeweils direkt an die interessanten Punkte heranfuhr. Hier wären wir mit einem Kreuzfahrtschiff nie herangekommen. Für die Zukunft gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten: entweder wir erwischen ein Kreuzfahrtschiff, dass auch den Næroyfjord bis Gudvangen befährt oder wir machen die lange Safari-Tour. Jetzt fängt es an zu regnen und mit Rücksicht darauf, dass Herr Pannen ja nun keinen wasserdichten Anzug trägt und wir auch ein wenig mehr Zeit brauchen, um ihn vom Boot bis zum Schiff zu bekommen, bitten wir Britt-Mari uns direkt zu unserem Schiff zurückzufahren. Bei einer fahrplanmäßigen Abfahrt ist das natürlich nicht möglich, aber wir haben einen Privatcharter.

Leider konnten wir Herrn Pannen nicht den Wunsch erfüllen, ihn auf die Hurtigruten zu begleiten, weil das vielleicht doch mit der Anreise zu schwierig geworden wäre, aber dass wir ihn so hautnah an die Fjorde ranbringen würden, hat er sich wohl nicht erträumt, als er damals den Wunsch geäußert hat.



We were sorry but it was impossible for us to accept his wish to accompany him on Norwegian Coastal Line (Hurtigruten) because the journey to the ship would be to difficult. But we were sure that he did not expected in his dreams to be taken so close to the Fjords.

All of us were very much excited of this trip.



Wir anderen sind auch total begeistert von der Fahrt.







As the strong guys were now on another tour the girls came to help. But with everyone's support we got Mr Pannen back to the ship right on time. It was the highlight of a wonderful cruise.



Da die starken Jungs wieder auf einer anderen Tour sind, müssen dieses Mal die Mädels ran, aber auch mit ihrer Hilfe schaffen wir es Herrn Pannen rechtzeitig auf das Schiff zurückzubekommen. Es war sicherlich der Höhepunkt einer wunderschönen Kreuzfahrt.

Den Umstand, dass Britt-Mari im Hafenbereich langsam fahren muss, nutze ich natürlich für einige Aufnahmen.



As Britt-Mari need to navigate very slowly in the port I had some good chances to take some nice shots.
