Bye-Bye SUPERSTAR VIRGO.Nun mussten wir um 16.30 Uhr zur Seenotrettungsübung. Die Rettungswesten brauchten wir nicht mitzunehmen, aber wir mussten raus auf das offene Deck zu den Rettungsbooten. Es wurde strikt überprüft, ob alle Passagiere da sind.
Now we had to go for the life drill to the muster station at 16.30 hrs. No need to have the life vests with us but we need to walk out to the promenade to our life boat. They strictly checked if all passengers were present.It was always the same persons who came late: those who lived the neareast to the place at the promenade itself: BJ...
Es sind immer die gleichen, die zu spät kommen: diejenigen, die auf dem Deck mit der Außenpromenade wohnen, auf der die Übung stattfindet: BJ...und Guenther...
and Guenther...It was the best life drill we knew so far. Due to the incidents on COSTA CONCORDIA they also advised that it would work if the ship would turn to the side. Many did not understand the difference between a lifeboat and a liferaft and waited at the wrong position. But there were plenty of crew members who made sure that you find your right muster station.
Es war so ziemlich die beste Übung, die wir kennen. Aufgrund der Ereignisse auf der COSTA CONCORDIA wurden auch Hinweise gegeben, falls das Schiff kippt. Viele haben auch den Unterschied zwischen Lifeboat und Liferaft nicht verstanden und hatten falsch gewartet. Aber es gab genügend Personal, die dafür gesorgt haben, dass man an die richtige Station gelangt.Wir wollten die Abkürzung über die Außentreppe nehmen. Da es aber zwischenzeitlich geregnet und es ziemlich rutschig war, bat man uns doch wieder reinzugehen und die Gänge im Schiff zu nutzen. Man würde nur ungern uns in einem Krankenhaus in Singapur hinterlassen.
We wanted to use the shortcut through our outside stairway. But as it rained meanwhile dogs and cats and it was quite slippery we were asked to use the inside stairway. They would not really want us to deliver to a hospital in Singapore.Have not seen this for many voyages as many newer ships have electronic displays of date and time in the elevators.
Schon lange nicht mehr gesehen: bei vielen neuen Schiffen gibt es ja eine digitale Datums- und Zeitanzeige im Fahrstuhl.Ein Deck höher auf Deck 3 ist es auch schön zum Rausgucken.

Brauche ich nun eine von der EURODAM, WESTERDAM oder ZAANDAM?"No Jogging" - das gefällt Bruno überhaupt nicht. Ein Sportdeck, auf dem man es darf, gibt es auch nicht.

Bruno gefällt auch die Außenpromade am Heck auf Deck 3.Meine Eltern finden die schnelle Möglichkeit rauszukommen auch sehr gut.
My parents liked also the idea to get quickly out to have a sneak view.So they enjoyed our sail away out of Singapore.
So gucken sie auch zu, als wir aus Singapur rausfahren.
